Zoë was born in 1981 in Heidelberg, Germany, however she has spent most of her life living in Manchester, England. In 2004 she graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in BA Textiles and she is currently working as freelance textile designer and an artist. Her preferred painting mediums are designer's gouache and artist quality watercolour paints on a range of watercolour and Japanese papers

Many of her paintings and designs are centralised around floral images as this is due to the fact that floral fabrics make up a large proportion of printed fabrics and remain a popular choice in today's market.

Zoë says "I enjoy drawing flowers and at the end of my degree they became a major theme in my work and I have continued to use this theme in my current work. I am particularly fascinated by the intimate detail in the patterning, tonal qualitites and form of flowers and plants. I like to capture the nature, character and structure of each flower or plant and attempt to emphasis the pattern and colour through the enlargement and isolation of forms."

"An individual does not need to possess artistic or botanical knowledge to find floral design and paintings appealing. Many people are drawn to them because they satisfy some innate desire or principle at recreating an environment that offers them comfort, joy or relaxation."

Her future intentions are to continue producing floral artworks as well as branching out into new subject matters such as townscapes, landscapes and abstract art. She wishes to develop her own artwork further and exhibit at galleries and arts and craft stalls.
